PTFE O RINGS
Are used as static seals against hot or corrosive fluids.The low elasticity of PTFE O Rings can ,to some degree be compensated by slotting .The slot should face the high pressure side.
■ PTFE BACKUP RINGS
Are fitted behind elastic rubber O rings facing the low pressure side or on both the sides if the direction of pressure alternates.
■ PTFE SPIRAL BACKING RINGS
Are used instead of PTFE backup rings wherever PTFE rings tend to shrink due to extensive temperature fluctuations.
